1. Buyer-first purpose

CDR exists to help buyers understand who a dealership is, what it offers and who it may suit before the buyer visits.

2. No dealer scores

CDR avoids simplistic star ratings and numerical rankings that can compare unlike dealership models. Information is structured so buyers can decide which features matter to them.

3. Transparent funding

Dealer subscriptions fund enhanced Featured Dealer and reporting, not positive opinions or paid rankings.

4. Consistent research

Profiles use a common framework, distinguish confirmed information from unknown information and link buyers to the dealer’s own current inventory.

5. Responsible AI

AI provides scale, but AI output is not treated as proof. CDR publishes an AI Transparency Policy and a Corrections Policy.

6. Accountability

Users and dealers can report errors, request factual updates and review the policies governing privacy, editorial decisions and commercial relationships.
