1. Purpose of AI
CDR uses AI to scale structured research and publishing while maintaining consistent formats. AI may assist with extracting likely facts, organising sources, drafting summaries, generating FAQs, suggesting metadata, internal links and quality checks.
2. AI is not a source
AI-generated statements must not be treated as evidence merely because a model produced them. Factual claims should be grounded in identifiable dealer, manufacturer, public or editorial sources.
3. Editorial oversight
CDR remains responsible for published content. Automated systems may generate drafts or flag records, but ambiguous, sensitive or adverse claims should receive additional review.
4. Known limitations
AI may misunderstand webpages, merge group and location information, rely on outdated material, infer unsupported services or produce confident errors. CDR’s workflow is designed to reduce, not eliminate, these risks.
5. Automated decisions
CDR does not intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individual buyers using automated profiling. Dealer categorisation and editorial inclusion may use automated assistance but remain subject to editorial rules.
6. Transparency
CDR may label AI-assisted research or explain its use through this policy rather than placing repetitive labels on every routine passage. Material synthetic images or altered media should be disclosed where their nature would not otherwise be apparent.
7. Corrections and improvement
Suspected AI-related errors can be reported under the Corrections Policy. Recurring errors may be used to improve prompts, validation and review rules.
8. Data handling
Personal and confidential information should not be submitted to an AI service unless reasonably necessary, authorised and handled consistently with the Privacy Policy and provider terms.
