1. Mission
CDR helps Australian buyers understand dealerships before they visit. Content should be useful, fair, clear and grounded in identifiable information.
2. Sources
Profiles and articles may draw on official dealer websites, manufacturer information, public business information, dealer submissions, public records and other relevant sources. Anonymous or unverified claims are not treated as established facts without corroboration.
3. Consistent profile format
Dealers are described using a consistent framework covering location, pricing style where known, finance, warranty, servicing, specialties and the type of buyer the dealer may suit. CDR does not use star ratings or numerical dealer scores.
4. AI assistance and human responsibility
AI may assist research organisation, extraction, drafting, metadata, FAQs and quality checks. Editorial responsibility remains with CDR. AI output is not treated as a source and should be checked against supporting information.
5. Commercial independence
Commercial participation does not buy a positive review, recommendation, ranking or factual conclusion. Participating dealers may receive enhanced content, updates and eligibility for relevant features, with disclosure where appropriate.
6. Fairness and right of reply
Where content contains a significant adverse factual claim, CDR may seek comment where practical. Routine profile descriptions based on public business information do not necessarily require pre-publication approval.
7. Accuracy, updates and corrections
Accuracy is prioritised over speed. Material errors are corrected under the Corrections Policy. Profiles may display a last-reviewed date and may be updated when reliable information changes.
8. Conflicts and gifts
Material conflicts of interest, sponsored access or commercial relationships should be disclosed. Gifts or hospitality do not guarantee coverage or influence conclusions.
9. Editorial features
Feature inclusion is based on relevance to the stated topic and available information. A commercial participant may be eligible for additional editorial features, but inclusion must remain useful to readers and be transparently disclosed.
