2. What CDR is

CDR is an independent editorial dealer-discovery and information platform. It is not a motor vehicle dealer, vehicle marketplace, finance broker, credit provider, insurer, warranty provider, repairer, legal adviser or agent for a dealership unless expressly stated.

3. General information only

Content is general information and does not take into account any person’s objectives, financial situation or needs. Users must make their own enquiries and obtain appropriate professional advice where required.

4. Dealer and vehicle information

Dealer profiles may use public information, dealer-supplied information, editorial research and AI-assisted drafting. Information may be incomplete, delayed or change without notice.

CDR does not guarantee stock availability, vehicle condition, pricing, specifications, finance approval, warranty coverage, licensing, opening hours or the conduct of a dealership. Confirm all material information directly with the relevant dealer.

5. Commercial participation

Dealers may pay for a Featured Dealer subscription, enhanced presentation or eligible inclusion in relevant editorial features. Payment does not purchase a positive opinion, ranking, award, guaranteed inclusion or favourable recommendation. See our Commercial Relationships Policy.

6. User responsibilities

Users must not misuse the website, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit unlawful or misleading material, harvest personal information, or use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable load on CDR.

7. Intellectual property and database rights

Unless stated otherwise, CDR owns or licenses the website design, branding, editorial text, original graphics, taxonomies, profile structure, compilations and database arrangement. Users may view and print reasonable extracts for personal use but may not reproduce, republish, scrape, commercialise or create a competing database without written permission.

Dealer names, logos and third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification, commentary or authorised promotional purposes.

8. Submissions

A person submitting material confirms they have authority to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful and non-infringing. The person grants CDR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, edit, verify and publish the material for operating and promoting CDR, subject to applicable privacy law.

Links are provided for convenience and referral. CDR does not control external websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or transactions.

10. Consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CDR is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, vehicle purchase outcomes, dealership conduct, reliance on outdated information, external websites or service interruption.

Where liability cannot be excluded and may lawfully be limited, liability is limited to the applicable minimum remedy permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

A user indemnifies CDR against loss arising from their unlawful use of the website, infringement of third-party rights or material they submit, except to the extent caused by CDR’s own unlawful conduct.

13. Availability and changes

CDR may change, suspend or discontinue features and may update these terms. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Courts with jurisdiction in Queensland may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory rights to bring a claim elsewhere.
